- I am known to many as the Godfather of Lunch. Godfather is a term of endearment bestowed upon me to reflect my knowledge of Charlotte’s best lunch spots and food in general. The Godfather is often called upon to make the perfect restaurant recommendation. The Godfather moved to Charlotte in the summer of 2001 and immediately loved it here. Besides family the only thing the Godfather missed were some of the great New Jersey and New York restaurants. Some specific foods spring to mind - bagels, pizza, deli and Italian food to name a few. Happily Charlotte continues getting better and better food and restaurants all the time. The GFLreport blog is dedicated to keeping up with the newest, best, and most awesome restaurants.
